Germany Thrash Scotland in Euro 2024 Opener

Scotland's hopes of a strong start to Euro 2024 were dashed as they were thrashed 3-0 by Germany in Munich.

Kai Havertz, Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala all scored in the first half to give the hosts a comfortable lead at the break. Scotland offered little in response and were reduced to 10 men when John McGinn was sent off for a second bookable offence.

The defeat leaves Scotland bottom of Group F after the opening round of matches, with Germany top of the group following their victory.

Scotland will now face Croatia in their next match on Friday, while Germany will take on Portugal.
